In 2004 I was diagnosed as HIV positive. The estimated time frame between seroconversion and diagnosis was seven months. In that short period, my lymph nodes in my neck had grown so large, my friends were noticing and asking, “what’s wrong with your neck?” In addition, I had the worst ‘flu’ I’ve ever experienced. When diagnosed, my doctor informed me that my viral load was larger than he had seen. It was so large in-fact, the test used to count the cells was unable to report, as the number was somewhere in the range of three times larger than the test could accommodate. What I received was a diagnosis of AIDS. Fortunately, medicine had advanced enough, allowing my doctor to assure me that this wasn’t a death sentence. He informed me that we could get the virus under control with a combination of therapies. The ‘triple-cocktail’. Wanting me to be informed, he helped me weigh the pros and cons of both taking meds and not. Because I had progressed so far, I opted to go the route with pills. Within a month, my viral load shrank by nearly one third. Within four months, undetectable. Meaning? It was still present in my system, just not at a level which was considered an immediate danger to my health.
I still had to use caution around anyone who might have even the slightest cold, as this could very likely progress in me an opportunistic infection which could lead to my death. During the years that followed, I could count on an annual bout with bronchitis, which would almost always transition to walking pneumonia. This, while on meds which were meant to keep me healthy. I don’t mean to sound ungrateful. I am very thankful for science. Without it and that triple cocktail, I might not be here today.
When I lost my job in December 2008, I also lost my benefits and any ability at footing the $36,000/year price-tag which came with the medications. I still had a two-month supply, but opted rather, to throw them away. I wasn’t about to prolong the inevitable. Not even for two months. I had resigned myself to accepting death and would do anything to bring it about as quickly as possible. ‘Thankfully’, only one year before, I had started down a path a self destruction. My plan was simple. Turn up the volume on my destructive behaviour and get this life over with. Within six months of stopping medication, I began feeling the effects of my illness. I was tired all the time. I battled a chest and head cold that never seemed to get any better, but, progressively worse. I would come home at the end of the day and literally collapse on the sofa with pain in my back and knees.
In April 2009, God had introduced me to Brenda Im. An amazing woman of God, the co-founder of IMPaX World and a woman who I now call friend, sister and spiritual mother. She was telling me about her company, the products and the business opportunity. I had heard the story of her infant daughter, the story about the children in Tanzania and a handful of stories about people locally. I wasn’t quite so pleased with the idea of an MLM due to past experience. Aside from that, the cost to join wasn’t even a matter for consideration seeing as how I had just sunk my last dime into my business (and poor life choices). But, somehow, I managed to convince myself that the 30% discount was worth the fee and asked Brenda to go out on a limb for me. In all honesty, I really had no intention of ever selling the products. I told myself, “if the products work, great! If not, at least I’m already on a path which will lead to my speedy demise.”
What happened next was nothing short of a miracle. Within two weeks of starting Enerprime and delta-E, my back and knee pain were gone. I now have more energy than I ever remember having at my ‘healthiest’ on meds. I’ve been off my medications for nearly two years and the best part… I’ve not had a single cold!! There’s more! I’m an A.D.D. kid. There used to be, what I would call, a radio in my head which played nothing but static. After using delta-E the first time, it was as if someone unplugged it. For the first time in my life, I heard nothing but silence. I was able to focus on a conversation without fidgeting and without my mind wandering. My friend Mike describes it so well: “I still have the same balls in the air. Delta-E gives me the ability to number them and pull them down in order.” There’s still more! People began noticing changes in my outward appearance. The most common question I got, ‘did you have plastic surgery’. When asked what I was doing differently, I just shared.
